Get ready and put your hands and credit cards together because tonight at 7:30 the Great Hall will host the 6th Annual Miss Ripon Pageant.
Not your average beauty pageant, the goal is to inspire self confidence and spread awareness on major issues plaguing the world.
This year four women will compete in all areas from philanthropy to formal wear with all the proceeds being donated to the charity of the winner’s choice.
The winner also gets the honor of being a representative of the college throughout the year, participating in community service projects and other events.
During the event there is to be a Princess Program aimed at advocating awareness instead of beauty to middle school girls.
While in the Princess Program the girls shadow the contestants and learn lessons on self-respect and community service.
Last year, the money was sent to the Christine Anne Domestic Abuse shelter after Alpha Chi Omega representative, Sydney Church ‘15, was named Miss Ripon.
